What to Expect: Your First Stay at a Giff Vacation Pool Home

Family arriving with luggage, all smiles

If this is your first time booking a private vacation home instead of a hotel, it’s normal to have questions about how it all works. Here’s a rundown of what to expect from the moment you book to the moment you head home.

Before you arrive, you’ll get clear check-in instructions, including how to access the home (usually a smart lock or lockbox code, so there’s no waiting on a front desk). We’ll also send over anything specific to your home — pool heating instructions, Wi-Fi details, parking notes — so you’re not hunting for answers on arrival day.

When you walk in, the home will be fully cleaned and stocked with the basics: fresh linens, towels for the pool, a starter supply of paper products and dish soap so you’re not making a midnight supply run. The kitchen is yours to use fully, the pool is heated and ready (weather permitting), and the game room is stocked and waiting for the kids to claim it as their own.

During your stay, if anything comes up, you’re not stuck with a hotel front desk that may or may not help — you can reach us directly, and because we manage these homes personally, we can usually solve issues quickly. Need extra towels, have a question about a nearby attraction, or want a recommendation for dinner? We’re an easy text or call away.

On checkout day, we just ask that you start the dishwasher, take out the trash, and leave the towels in a pile — no need to strip beds or do a deep clean. Simple, low-stress, and designed so your last morning is about packing, not chores.

That’s it — no surprises, just a home that’s ready for your family from the moment you arrive.
